The two Nepal projects share similar objectives. CHEST works in an area impacted by the 2015 earthquakes and CHEP is located in a remote location which until recently had no vehicle access. Both work by establishing and equipping Self Help Groups, mainly of women, a forum in which the community can learn new skills and knowledge. Protection and sustainability of the groups is secured by the formation and registration of local Co-operatives.
The CHEST project included hygiene, income generation, education, creation care, and disaster preparedness.
The CHEP team provides training in agriculture, education, and adult literacy classes.
