Operation Agri Projects
OA supports projects run by established partners – some are international Christian agencies, and others are Christian-led organisations in the countries concerned. OA’s partners put forward proposals based on local felt needs – aiming to advance self-respect and self-reliance. Operation Agri considers proposals, and may ask for clarification or make suggestions, before agreeing to give funding.
Types of project include agriculture, livelihoods, health or education. OA does not generally give emergency aid. Six-monthly reports are required from each project plus annual audited accounts. Visits to projects are made by partner agency staff and occasionally by OA representatives. An aspect of OA’s support which is appreciated is the personal link with the projects and their local leaders.
