Imarika: A community-based project of Emmauel International with the Diocese of Ruaha in the Iringa Region. The project leaders seek to form village groups and train them in community banking, giving them the means to run enterprises to lift themselves out of poverty. The groups also receive training in some of these areas: conservation agriculture, fuel-efficient stove making, afforestation, beekeeping or poultry keeping. A new initiative is taking conservation training into schools.
